Sigiriya Rock Fortress is one of Sri Lanka’s most iconic cultural landmarks and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Rising nearly 200 meters above the surrounding plains. Visitors can explore beautifully landscaped water gardens, ancient frescoes, the famous Lion’s Gate, and the ruins of a royal palace.
08.00 AM -You will be picked up by your own chauffer guide and with his private vehicle and transfer to Sigiriya. (pickup is available from Sigiriya, Dambulla, Habarana).
08.30 AM – The Sigiriya Rock climbing experience begins at the entrance of the ancient royal gardens, where visitors walk through beautifully designed water gardens, fountains, and landscaped pathways dating back to the 5th century.
visitors reach the iconic Lion’s Gate, where the massive stone lion paws mark the entrance to the summit. As the journey continues, climbers ascend a series of stairways leading to the famous Sigiriya frescoes and the Mirror Wall, which showcase the artistic brilliance of the ancient kingdom.
The final ascent takes climbers to the top of the rock fortress, where the ruins of King Kashyapa’s royal palace can be explored.
11.30 AM – on completion you will be taken back to your hotel.
