Horton Plains Trek– World’s End Hike

06:30 AM – You will be picked up by your chauffeur guide in a private vehicle and transferred to Hortain plains National Park.

07:30 AM – Horton Plains National Park in Sri Lanka is a stunning highland plateau famous for its trekking trail and unique biodiversity. Begin the trekking with your own guide.

The 9 km circular hike takes visitors through misty grasslands and cloud forests, with key sights in order: World’s End (an 800m cliff drop), Mini World’s End, and the beautiful Baker’s Falls.

Wildlife is a highlight: large herds of sambar deer roam freely, while the elusive Sri Lankan leopard inhabit the park.

Endemic bird species such as the yellow-eared bulbul and Sri Lanka whistling thrush make it a paradise for birdwatchers. The park also shelters primates like the purple-faced langur (often called the “black monkey”), along with other endemic species of reptiles, amphibians, and butterflies.

11.00 AM – On completion you will drive back to Nuwara Eliya.

12.30 PM – Return back to hotel.
